We had a tough day today. 87 miles and we saw a thermometer reading 37 degrees. So that's 250 done now in only 2.5 days. Various aches and pains developing but no disasters so morale is high.
We have developed a good team riding style and are indebted to Jeroen for doing lots of work upfront. Various nicknames are developing for him: the big cheese, the human windshield, the flying Dutchman, etc. We are averaging 16 mph which is good considering we are fully laden.
Northern Italy is proving to be more amazing to cycle through than we ever imagined. We are in the centre of Modena tonight - another wow.
We are lucky guys to be on this adventure.
