This has been an amazing day, leaving Modena, an easy fast morning ride and then a long hot afternoon climb up into the Appenine Mountains. We covered 70 miles and enjoyed a cold beer on arrival. We stayed at a wonderful quirky auberge which you can see here. The owner is a lovely guy - he's just returned from hunting deer and wild boar as we sit here eating our breakfast. Downhill all the way to Florence this morning....
